Sweet Sassy Suzi

Hi Everyone

As promised I have another card for you today made using one of my new The Greeting Farm stamps, I have fallen in love with this make of stamps and I never thought any collection would be better that the Tilda’s from Magnolia but I think I love these even more than Tilda!!! I think part of it is that when I’m colouring I love doing faces and hair so as the TGF stamps have the larger heads it lets me play more than the Magnolias do, although I do still love Tilda too!!

For today’s card I chose to use one of the girls from The Wild Sprout collection, her name is Sassy Suzi and I managed to get her from Dies to Die for , if you like TGF stamps (or other brands!!) and you are looking for a UK website then please give this site a go!! Not only are their prices fab but their service is brill, I have placed two orders with them and they both arrived next day!! Plus because my postage was less than I paid Tracy refunded some of it!! What more can you ask for!!! Tracy is so lovely and has even offered to add my blog address to her blog!! (you can get to her blog if you click on her name above)

Anyway on to the card!!

As I mentioned above for this card I used Sassy Suzi from the Wild Sprout collection and I coloured her with my Copic Ciao markers. The backing papers for this card are from the Floral stack by Diecuts with a View and the card used behind the paper was cut with a scallop edge using Fiskars Cloud scissors (this card is also DCWV) The base card is from Do-crafts and to finish off the card I added some ribbon from my stash and some faux pearls also from my stash.

To colour her I used the following copic ciao markers

Skin – E50, E00, E21, E11, R20 (B05 for the eyes)

Hair – Y15, Y17, YR16, E35

Clothes etc – R85, R59, YG63, YG67, G99, R00, R02, R05

The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Premium Ultra Smooth White Cardstock from Sir Stampalot and Sassy Suzi was bought from Dies to Die For

Dressy Ebony!

Hi Everyone

So today I thought I would share a card I made with you as this year I’ve not added many to my blog. I guess I haven’t added many because unless I’m working on Design Team’s I don’t make that many so I’ve not had them to show you. Whoever I recently got some new The Greeting Farm Digi stamps and Rubber stamps and have been playing with them and my copics so I thought I would start making them into cards to share with you.

Today’s card uses one of the Digi Stamps that you can purchase from The Greeting Farm website.

This particular digi is Dressy Ebony although quite a few people do use her as Alice from the Twilight series. As I mentioned before she is coloured with my copic markers and was printed on Premium Ultra Smooth White Cardstock from Sir Stampalot. The papers on the card are from Die Cuts with a View and I added some bling that I coloured black with my copics and some grosgrain ribbon.

To colour Ebony I used the following colours of Copics

Skin – E50, E00, E21, R20 (B05 for eyes)

Hair – E49, E47, E37, E35

Clothes/Headband – 100, C7, C5, C3, R59, R37, R35

She was printed On Premium Ultra Smooth Cardstock using Kodak printer.

KLM Designs DT Call

Hi Everyone

Yes I know I've gone from posting once in a blue moon to more than once a day! The cards for this post are ones I made for my application to be a part of the KLM Designs DT. They are another digital stamp company and their products are fab, you can find them KLM Designs , so please go and take a look.

So here are the cards I made, I know a lot of the DT calls ask for your favorite cards but I wanted to make new ones so that I didn't keep putting the same projects on my blog.

This first card uses an image from a company called Digital Designs by Louby Loo , this little girl is called Maggie May and I coloured her with my Copic markers. I then used papers from a K & Company pad (sorry I don't know the name) and finished the card with satin ribbon, Kaisercraft flowers coloured with copics to match and a glue rub on from Papermania that I added doodlebug bonbon glitter to.

For my second card I used one of my beautiful Magnolia stamps called Tilda with Umbrella, she has again been coloured with copic markers - I chose colours that were in the traditional Welsh costume as she reminded me of that. I used papers from a Hot off the Press Cardmakers pad and finished her with some mother of pearl flowers (coloured with copics) attached with brads and some satin ribbon from my stash.

For this card I use one of the digital designs that I discovered recently that The Greeting Farm sells, her name is Catcher Anya. I used my Copic markers to add colour to her and used papers from a Diecuts with a View stack. I finished the project with some swirl stamps inked with versamagic ink - the stamps are from Hot off the Press and Papermania's Marie Curie special set, some rhinestones and some satin ribbon from my stash.

For this card I used an image from S2G - Shirleys 2 Girls and her name is Gracie Original. I coloured her with my copic markers and used papers from K & Company's birthday paper pad. To complete the card I used some ribbon from my stash.

For my final card I used an image from KLM called Back to School, of course it is coloured with my copics, I used some K & Company school papers for the card and finished it with a diecut from one of my sizzex sizzlet dies.

Well that is the cards I came up with, I really hope that they like them as I'm so enjoying working with digi stamps and I would love to work with their images on a regular basis.

Just quickly I thought I would let you know that I've heard from Club Anya and I was unsuccessful in their DT Call, but as I said previously I had a feeling the competition would be high.

Cute Kids

Hi Everyone

I'm having so much fun at the moment actually crafting rather than spending my time surfing the web. I usually only make about 2-3 cards a week for pleasure and the rest of the time I'm crafting I 'play' but this past week I've made over a dozen cards! But it's not just that I'm actually producing projects but I'm finding that my ideas are flowing fast and furious, normally I'm a slow crafter and making a card can take me 4-5 hours moving things around, changing my mind, trying to decide what style I want to achieve but now things suddenly seem to be changing - I only had a couple of hours the other morning and somehow managed to make three cards and I had no idea what I wanted to make when I sat down to craft, I was so amazed when I realised that I'd done them in such a short space of time.

Today I wanted to show you some cards that I made for the chance to be a part of the Club Anya Design Team, I would love to be a part of their team but with such strong competition out there I will be amazed if I'm lucky enough to be chosen, but you never know, as least I can say that I tried.

I have always loved the images that are created by The Greeting Farm and I was so pleased when I discovered on their website that they now sell a few digital stamps as well as their actual rubber stamps, so of course I had to buy some! For this card I used one of those digi images called 50's sweetheart, I think this image is just so cute and I think that it could be used for quite a few occasions even though they are sweethearts. Once again I coloured the image with my Copic ciao markers, I used papers from a Hot off the Press Cardmakers pad and I cut the pink paper with my fiskars shapecutter and heart template, then I punched out some small circles with an X-cut punch to make a scallop edge around the heart and finally I used some satin ribbon from my stash.

As promised I've added a close up of our sweethearts.

This card is again one of the digital images from The Greeting Farm that I recently discovered, her name is Pretty Head Lili and I think she is adorable, when I 'had' to buy the digi stamps from TGF Lili was the first one that I knew I had to have, like the sweethearts I really feel she could be used for a lot of things - my daughters already have their eyes on her for birthdays. I coloured her again with my Copics and chose to use designer papers from a Provocraft Rob 'n' Bob paper pack. I finished the project with metal hardware from Making Memories and grosgrain ribbon from the Dovecraft Smirk range.

For my final card I have again used another digital image from The Greeting Farm, I have to be honest that I don't make men's cards all that often, if I sit down to craft then I'm usually drawn to girly etc - I think having two daughters might have something to do with it. Saying all that I just knew I needed to have this little boy especially with Football being such a huge sport in the UK (or should I say Soccer, as it's called in the USA), his name is Soccer Ian and again he is just so cute (yes everything is cute in my craft world!). Once again I used my Copic markers to colour him and then used papers from the Clare Curd paper pack produced by Papermania/Do-crafts and card from the Sam collection from the Making Memories Kids range. To finish the card I used a football sticker from the Papermania range that I attached to a large brad produced by Hot off the Press and added some ribbon from my stash to the reverse of the brad, finally I wrapped some yarn Darice around the cardstock.

When I decide to use digital stamped images then I print them out on my Kodak Easy share Printer and then I always heat set the image just in case, although I have not had a problem with the ink smudging when using my copics or pencils and sansador (gamsol) I have only recently bought this printer and have yet to try any digital stamps with watercolours or water based markers but when I do I will let you know if they work okay. While talking about digital stamps don't forget that the 1st Sewn Together Challenge ends on Monday 31st, which of couse means that there will be a new challenging starting on Tuesday 1st and you will be able to find details and see all the Design Teams cards on the Sew Many Cards blog, while there why not check out the Freebie friday image for this week and finally Angela has just produced a new Thanksgiving image which is now available to purchase on the Dployed Designs site.
